Choose your Finish

A fine finish is the crowning touch that brings out the true beauty of wood. A piece of cabinetry is a finishers pallet and the possibilities are endless. Basically, there are two types of stains and topcoats, solvent based and water based. Solvent, or oil based finishes, contain roughly 50% petroleum distillates, which release polluting hydrocarbons into the atmosphere. Water based finishes are 50% water, which is a non-pollutant, leading to increased safety and comfort.

Safety
Where solvent based lacquers are highly flammable, water based finishes are non-flammable, and therefore safer. Our finishes have a full build and Aqua Water base finishes are more durable than Conversion Varnish Lacquers that are used by most other Companies. And if a surface scratch should happen, it will not whiten and will hardly be noticeable at all, especially if polished with vegetable or lemon oil. Our lacquer has no VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds) keeping the toxins out of your home. So go Green and use environmentally friendly water based finishes!

Our non-toxic, zero VOC finishes have just as wide a range of colour choices as oil-based finishes: deep and lively shades of red, green, blue, and yellow. Our finishes also offer a full range of wood tones.
