Wood Wise Limited Lifetime Warranty

Wood Wise presents the original purchaser of this product a limited lifetime warranty against defects in material or workmanship. This warranty begins on the day of delivery.  In the event that a problem arises from a defect during the warranty time, your product will be repaired or replaced (at Wood Wise Furniture's option) without charge except for any cost incurred to transport the product to and from Wood Wise. If your product is repaired or replaced. This warranty will be renewed.

Finish: Dust with a slightly damp cloth with the grain.  To add some lustre use natural lemon oil and a soft cotton cloth also with the grain. Do not use products with silicones as this may ruin your finish. Do not let the finish come in contact with solvents like nail polish remover.

Bolt Connections: With changes in humidity the wood can dry and the bolts may become loose. Tighten the bolts periodically on a need basis. Never put your wooden furniture directly against hot radiators or sources of heat. Doing this may cause the wood to dry and crack.

In the event your product needs service, be advised that Wood Wise reserves the right to refuse service when the product is found to be excessively dirty, modified, or when product failure is due to causes other than defective workmanship or materials. This warranty is void if the product has been subject to obvious abuse. To obtain service under this warranty, please contact Wood Wise. You will need your receipt for proof of purchase.

Care

All of our products are touched by hand and nature, some variations in size and colour can be expected. For proper care please ask for any information at time of delivery, such as curing and breathing and temperature suggestions. Wood is a natural and living thing so movement as per time of year and moisture will happen and is to be expected. If panels shrink we suggest a touch up marker or a small jar of touch up stain. Your appreciation of this is graciously acknowledged. If something happens that you are wondering about, please contact us for advice.

Touch up markers are available at any store selling paint and stains or through us. They are magical for scratches and bumps and exposure from shrinkage in most cases.Our finish holds water for 24 hours, overflow a plant and go to the cottage for a week and you have problems. All other spills must be removed immediately, some things can slightly penetrate but will usually dissipate over time and with use. Mustard is the worst, beware. Do not use nail polish or anything volatile on a finished surface.

After furniture settles it may need to have levellers or shims used to make doors and drawers square. Contact us if unsure.

Always lift objects , never slide them. Use felts under all objects, never plastics or rubber or vinyl. Do not use rubber backed table cloths or place mats on tables just delivered for 28 days , until it is fully cured. If what you ordered is a 2 piece unit use felts in between layers. When cleaning do not use a sponge or dish cloth, a clean damp cloth is best, and do not let excess moisture remain. Do not expose furniture to direct sunlight. With extended exposure the ultraviolet rays can create hairline cracks and affect colour. Wood colour will darken with age, especially light or natural finishes. Walnut may lighten with age.

If drawers tighten with moisture during humid times try uncoloured and unscented wax on touching surfaces. It is advised that you have a dehumidifier. Furniture cannot be stored in extreme conditions such as garages, attics or basements without expecting possible problems, if so, climatization will usually correct this.
